Abu Falah - Ramallah: The first race first equestrian of Abu Falah concluded its activities with great success, which took place on the field village of Abu Falah Ramallah district by the exclusive sponsor Bank of Palestine and arranged by the Club sports of Abu Falah. Attended the race, approximately 100 horses from nationwide and inside Palestine Galilee, Nazareth, Kalnswa, Kafr kana, and attending the race, many sports characters and political, including the Governor of Ramallah and Al Bireh, Dr. Laila Ghannam and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Moussa Abu Zeid, and Bassam Alolewyll who is the member of Central Committee of Fatah movement and Ziad Abu Ain, Undersecretary of the Ministry of prisoners, and detainee affairs, and Qaddura Fares Chief of the Palestinian Prisoner Club, Brigadier General Hassan Albzlamit Chairman of the Equestrian Palestinian Federation and Thaer Hamayel Head of Public relations Division at Bank of Palestine and Raed Radwan, secretary of Fatah movement province of Ramallah and Al Bireh, Abdel-Latif Kaddoumi, deputy director of police in Ramallah and Abdullah Shoman, chairman of Club Sports of Abu Falah, and Alhaji Musa Hamayel of based on this race, in addition to more than 5000 spectators and many of media local and Arabic
The opening ceremony began of the Palestinian National peace Anthem,then the cheif ceremony, Mr. Amin Schumann introduced the honor guests of his speech, initiated by cheif of the Club Sport of Abu Falah. He welcomed on behalf of the club and the village council of Abu Falah the people of the village guests and knights, stressing the importance of embracing the village Abu Falah for this important event to provide a suitable place to impress people of the town in this sport, as well as the importance of this sport in Palestine and which is regarded the legacy of our fathers and grandfathers. Then the Cheif of Equestrian Federation gave speech who welcomed on behalf of the equestrian clubs and on behalf of the cavalry for their presence, and the attention of everyone in this sport thanking the people of the village of Abu Falah for embracing this race. Then the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Dr. Laila Ghannam made speech conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen and confirmed by the importance of the sport and pride by emphasizing that it would seek coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to develop and to find appropriate places to set up such a sport. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth, thanking everyone for establishing this important event and the interest of our people for the equestrian sport, adding that he will work to develop this sport and promising that he would work at the beginning of October to establish the field of horses by international standars.
Then tours race started which amounted to thirteen round won by many of the riders nationwide and in each round was an honor to the winner of the first and second and the third which was a cash prize award ILS 1000 for the first, ILS 700 for the second, and ILS 300 for the third, in addition to the cups for each of the three centers in each round.
