As Bank of Palestine PLC promised, further expansion and spreading of new branches and sub-branches inside Palestine was accomplished. BoP celebrated the opening of its 37th branch in Silwad, with the presence of Mr. Hashim Shawa, Chairman and General Manager of the bank, Mr. Reyad Shehada, Head of Banks Monitoring Department in the Palestine Monetary Authority, Mr. Na’el Nimr, Mayor of Silwad, along with a large number of business people and bankers.
During the opening ceremony, BoP held the weekly withdrawal on the Lifetime Monthly Salary Campaign and the 19th winner was Mrs. Salwa Abu Al Jedian from Der Al Balah Branch.
Mr. Shawa welcomed the presence and considered the opening of this new branch as a remarkable achievement to be added to a series of successes and achievements as it enables the Bank to provide its services to all the Palestinians easily and smoothly wherever & whenever they are.
Mr. Shawa added that the Bank will soon open another four new branches and sub-branches in Beit Jala, Tarqumia, and Meithalun.
Mr. Shawa also confirmed that despite the current Global Economic Crisis, Bank of Palestine has not been materially affected, and its business has continued steadily with an increase in both profits and assets.
