Bank of Palestine Contributes to Assisting Palestinian Refugees Affected by the Devastating Earthquake in Syria and Turkey through the Palestinian Red Crescent Society

Bank of Palestine announces its contribution in cash and in-kind to the Palestinians affected by the disastrous earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey.

Bank of Palestine said that, due to its social role, it paid cash and in-kind contributions to support the Palestinian refugees in Syria and Turkey who were affected by the devastating earthquake that hit their countries. Through the efforts of the Palestine Red Crescent, the assistance will reach the Palestinian victims to help them pass over this tragedy.

On the other hand, the money that was donated was disbursed to shelter the displaced who lost their homes due to the destruction and to purchase caravans, tents, and other relief tools that are greatly needed in these circumstances. This contribution was an initiative taken by the bank in response to the popular calls from our people in Syria in particular. This will soften the acuteness of the humanitarian crisis, with a plan which envisages the provision of winter clothes, fuel, food, water, medicine, and other items by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, which has already begun working in this direction.

The contribution is an expression of the national and community role the bank plays in favor of our people wherever they may be," the bank said. Part of the annual net profit is set aside by the bank for social responsibility to support sustainable development projects.
