Bank of Palestine has concluded the second phase of its humanitarian and relief work launched at the beginning of Ramadan. This included a series of interventions during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, targeting more than 25,000 beneficiaries directly in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. This is part of the relief bridge that the Bank of Palestine has been working on, in cooperation with local and international organizations.
Other new interventions by Bank of Palestine in Gaza and supported in cooperation with "Ataa Palestine" Give Palestine included supporting a charity kitchen in the north of the Gaza Strip to provide 5,000 meals, distributing food parcels in the north of the Gaza Strip in cooperation with "Taawon Foundation, and distributing Eid gifts and shoes to children in the southern Gaza Strip in cooperation with the "Nafs" Empowerment Association. Other activities included the distribution of health packages for mothers and children in the north of the Gaza Strip in cooperation with "Juzoor Foundation" for Health and Social Development" and supporting an educational tent for children in cooperation with "Al Ard Center for Research and Studies" in Deir al-Balah.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank, the contributions came from the Bank of Palestine through the distribution of food packages in Bethlehem, in cooperation with the Arab Women's Union, and shopping vouchers to underprivileged families in Jerusalem and Salfit, in coordination with the "Jerusalem Center for Women."
In that regard, the Bank of Palestine explained that these contributions come under its program for humanitarian and relief work currently being implemented with several local and international partners to express the bank's social, humanitarian, and national role toward its people, to enhance the steadfastness of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. It looks for the needs that have arisen from the current situation and tries to ease the suffering of affected families.
Bank of Palestine contributed a side with 1,000,000 meals in the Gaza Strip, in support of thousands of those displaced and affected. Under its Ramadan campaign "We Are All Together. Ramadan Goodness with Hope," the bank continued its humanitarian relief through the distribution of thousands of hot meals, food parcels, bottled water, hygiene kits, winter means for families and children, urgent financial assistance for patients in Gaza hospitals, and carrying out recreational activities for women and children in shelters supported by psychological backing. Bank of Palestine has implemented almost 28 humanitarian and development interventions whose value exceeded 2.5 million USD.
