Bank of Palestine, Welfare Association, and their Partners Inaugurates the Twenty-Fourth Recreational Park within “Al-Bayyara” Parks Project in Tal al-Hawa in Gaza

Bank of Palestine, Welfare Association and their partners inaugurated the twenty-fourth recreational park within “Al-Bayyara” Parks project implemented by Bank on Palestine, in Tal al-Hawa in Gaza. The inauguration took place in the presence of Mr. Alaa Al Redwan, Bank of Palestine’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Fadi Hindi, Director of Welfare’s Office in Gaza, Mr. Nehad Mghani, General Manager of the Engineering and Planning Department, and a range of officials from the Bank, in addition to representatives of civil society organizations and with participation of children.

The inauguration of Tal al-Hawa Park complements the project implemented by the Bank and its partners to establish hundreds of recreational parks for children in different areas of Palestinian governorates. The project aims to provide safe places for entertainment to our Palestinian children, and reduce the number of causalities and victims of children due to playing in populated areas, in streets and alleys on annual basis.

 

Mr. Alaa Al Redwan expressed his contentment about “Al-Bayyara” Parks project and its contribution to the social developments in order to enable children to live in peace and security. He confirmed that the Bank will continue to establish recreational parks in all Palestinian villages and cities, due to the Bank’s approach towards social responsibility. The Bank a 6% of its annual net profit to support development projects in the fields of education, youth and innovation, health and environment, sports, culture and art, women empowerment, and humanitarian endeavors.

 

Mr. Redwan thanked and expressed his appreciation to all partner institutions and Palestinians in diaspora who contributed towards the establishment of various parks in different areas, which contributed to changing the children's lifestyles in various areas, including marginalized ones.

Mr. Fadi Hindi, Director of Welfare's Office in Gaza, indicated that “Al-Bayyara” project in a national project that secures safe recreational areas. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the institutions that support this project, which contributes to the safety and cleanliness of streets, in addition to establishing safe recreational areas for children in Gaza.

The inauguration included various entertainment activities for the children present in the park, with the participation of Save the Children organization, which is active in Gaza Strip.
