Bank of Palestine provides Financial Support to Al-Sununu Association for Culture and Arts

Bank of Palestine provided its support to Al-Sununu Association for Culture and Arts in Gaza, for the development of the Association’s work and the provision of basic needs, aiming for its advancement, in line with other music institutes in Gaza Strip. This support is due to the Bank’s vision to continue in promoting the presence of cultural and art, and the development of the musical performance for the coming generations, as part of the Palestinian identity and culture.

This financial support was provided under the signing of an agreement, following a visit by a delegation from the Bank’s management to the Al-Sununu Institute. The delegation was received by Mrs. Al-Arab Maghani, Director of the Institute. Mrs. Maghani welcomed the guests, and sincerely thanked Bank of Palestine for its role in supporting all sectors, including art. She added that Al-Sununu Institute was established in Gaza in 2010, and expanded through Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Gaza, and the West Bank. The institute was ranked first in Gaza , compared with other institutes.

Mr. Salman Qmaila, Assistant General Manager at Bank of Palestine, indicated that this donation is due to the Bank’s social responsibility, in which the Bank allocates 6% of its annual net profit for social responsibility programs and to support development sectors in Palestine, especially the culture and arts sector, in order to advance the institutions that serve our Palestinian society. He added that the Bank continuously seeks to achieve its noble mission towards the Palestinian people, and contributes in supporting development projects in the fields of education, youth and innovation, health and environment, sports, culture and art, women empowerment and various aid and humanitarian endeavors.

Al-Sununu Institute trains more than one hundred students, and has graduated around 50 students from Al-Sununu choir. The institute also provides training in visual arts “sculpture”, and choir for children of ages between 6-12 years old. Recently, registration became available for lessons in all musical instruments, due to the presence of a group of elite music teachers.
