Bank of Palestine Receives “The Best Bank in Palestine” Award from the World Union of Arab Bankers for the Second Consecutive Year

Bank of Palestine received “The Best Bank in Palestine” award from the World Union of Arab Bankers within the excellence and achievements awards in the Arab banking sector in 2016. The Bank received this award based on its achievements in the past year.

The award was received during a ceremony held in Beirut, Lebanon, with a large presence from senior Arab bankers, businesspersons, chairpersons and general managers of banking institutions in the Arab world and the Middle East.  Mr. Rushdi Ghalayini, Bank of Palestine’s Deputy General Manager, received the award.

Bank of Palestine was awarded “The Best Bank in Palestine” award within the excellence and achievements awards in the Arab banking sector, due to its continued distinction in the banking sector and its outstanding performance in the financial and banking operations. In addition to the Bank’s excellence in developing services that meet the various needs of its customers and all economic and social segments, as well as developing electronic services that help the customers in conducting their banking operations in an easy and secure manner.

Mr. Ghalayini expressed his contentment to receive the excellence and achievement award of the Arab Banking system. He indicated that the awards received by the Bank from various local and international institutions culminates the Bank’s approach towards excellence in the provision of services and the development of financial products that meet the needs of its customers and facilitate their processes.

Mr. Ghalayini added that Bank of Palestine made great progress during the past year in terms of expansion, locally and internationally. The Bank’s network include 61 branches and sub branches, and opened its first representative office in Dubai International Financial Centre, and is preparing to open another representative office in Santiago, Chile. He indicated the importance of communicating with Palestinians in diaspora, in which the Bank is employing its efforts to continuously communicate with them to help and encourage them to come back to Palestine and participate in development and economic projects that stimulate growth and contribute in creating job opportunities, which will reduce unemployment within the Palestinian society.

Mr. Ghalayini expressed his appreciation for the World Union of Arab Bankers who selected Bank of Palestine for the award. He confirmed that the award is an integral part of the Bank’s success journey. He also thanked the Bank’s family, Board of Directors, and employees for their tireless efforts towards strengthening the Bank’s position both locally and internationally.
