Bank of Palestine provides its primary sponsorship for the second consecutive year to the fourth Palestine Marathon, which is organized in cooperation with the Danish Institution, “Right to Movement”, under the Slogan “Right to Movement”, and will take place on Friday 01/04/2016 in Bethlehem.
The marathon will start at eight in the morning, with participation of more than four thousand male and female runners. The race is divided to three racecourses; 10KM, 21KM and 42KM races. The route begins at the Church of Nativity, passing the Nativity Street, Bilal Bin Rabah Mosque, and passing through the separation wall area, and Miftah neighborhood in Aida Refugee Camp, north of Bethlehem. The route continues through the main street (Jerusalem-Hebron), Al Balou’ area in Al-Khader town, and Al-Nashash area on the south entrance of Al-Khader, returning to the starting point at the Church of Nativity.
The starting time depends on the racecourse; the 42K race will start at 8:00AM, the 21K race will start at 8:15AM, and the 10KM race will start at 8:30AM. The race for people with special needs will start at 8:40AM.
The Bank’s sponsorship is due to is social responsibility and is in line with its vision to enhance youth participation in various sports and social events. The marathon gathers more than four thousand male and female runners from inside and outside Palestine, to compete on reaching their targets with a sense of virtue and sportsmanship.
