Bank of Palestine signs a partnership agreement to support Hilal Al-Quds Club for three years

Bank of Palestine signed an agreement to support Hilal Al-Quds Club and its activities for the period of three years, in the presence of Mr. Hashim Shawa, Bank of Palestine’s Chairman and General Manager and Dr. Basem Abu A’sab, the Club’s Chairman, in the Club’s headquarters in Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem.

The signing ceremony was attended by a number of department and division heads from Bank of Palestine and Hilal Al-Quds, within a social gesture that the Bank seeks to find and continue to support the community and the national institutions in the occupied capital.

In Mr. Hashim Shawa, Bank of Palestine’s Chairman and General Manager, opening speech, he stressed the importance of this partnership in supporting sports, culture and the various activities conducted by Hilal Al-Quds Club, as it is one of the essential pillars in the capital and holds a prestigious position between Palestinian clubs.

Shawa expressed his prides in the achievements of Hilal Al-Quds Club throughout the last two years, under the management of Dr. Basem Abu A’sab, who succeeded to promote the Club’s position and revive various activities in different fields; Shawa added that “we, as a national Bank, are delighted to whiteness this outstanding development in Jerusalem through Hilal Club and it is our pleasure to support the Club’s activities and contribute to meet its members’ needs; we consider this partnership as a long-term partnership with this national symbol whose management is credible and gives without limits under the difficult conditions that the Palestinian clubs and associations face in Jerusalem”.

Dr. Basem Abu A’sab, the Club’s President, welcomed Bank of Palestine’s management and Chairman, Mr. Hashim Shawa, on behalf of the Club’s general management and its supporters, expressing his contentment for the Bank’s visit to Jerusalem and to closely view the achievements of the club within its four centers across the city, which provide its services to around 5,000 members from different social segments in Jerusalem.

Abu A’sab stressed the essential social and humane role that Bank of Palestine adopts in supporting all segments in Jerusalem, which is a proof for the coherence and cohesion between all Palestinian companies and institutions who seek to advance the city.

Dr. Abu A’sab expressed his great pride for Bank of Palestine’s support to Hilal Al-Quds Club, as the Bank is presently considered one of the most essential Palestinian banking institutions, who had a prominent role in supporting sports and cultural activities in Jerusalem throughout the past years.

Secretary of Hilal Al-Quds Club, Lawyer Dia Shwaiki expressed his contentment and honor for the true partnership with the first national bank, Bank of Palestine, which he is proud of on the national level; today Hilal Al-Quds Club achieved a quantum leap with a respectable Palestinian institution, Bank of Palestine.

Shwaiki emphasized that the aim of the partnership is to sponsor a group of activities of Hilal Al-Quds Club, such as cultural, scout and social activities, and in the future, the football academy for promising players in Jerusalem.

In regards to the strong relations established by Hilal Al-Quds Club, Shwaiki added: “we seek at the club to collaborate with respectable institution, as we are an institution in Jerusalem that support a large number of Palestinian youth in the city; today, through the multiple centers for the Hilal Al-Quds Club, we are able to promote sports and culture in Jeursalem, as the Hilal Al-Quds Club is one of the most famous Palestinian clubs and received several championships in professional and sports tournaments.

The delegation visited the Life Fitness Center in Beit Hanina, which provides its services to more than 1400 members, in addition to visiting Life Center for Culture and Arts in Sultan Suleiman Street, which provides courses in music, art, languages, Dabkeh, theater, computer and painting.
