Bank of Palestine, Union of Investors and Developers in the Real Estate Sector and Contractors Union held a joint workshop at the Movenpick Hotel in Ramallah, about the developing the relations and to discuss the obstacles faced by the developers in the real estate sector and businessmen and contribute to resolving the financial problems they face, in addition to empowering manufacturing businesses and small projects to ensure the best performance of their work.
The meeting was held in the presence of a number of department and branch heads from Bank of Palestine, Engineer Nizar Rimawi, President of the Union of Investors and Developers in the Real Estate Sector and Mr. Jiries Atallah, President of Contractors Union, and with participation of a number of business men and business owners.
At the beginning of the workshop, Mr. Rushdi Ghalayini, Bank of Palestine’s Deputy General Manager, welcomed the attendees and expressed his thanks and gratitude for the effective participation of the developers, businessmen and owners of businesses and factories, stressing on the importance of communication and joint collaboration to get to know the problems facing their businesses; he indicated that this workshop also aims to provide a comprehensive picture about the Bank’s services and how to use and benefit from these services provided to owners of Palestinian industries and methods to support them.
Ghalayini talked about Bank of Palestine’s journey, which began in 1960, confirming the Bank’s interest in all sectors, including contractors and businessmen, and provide services that meet all their needs with outstanding performance and high speed.
Engineer Nizar Rimawi, President of the Union of Investors and Developers in the Real Estate Sector, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for Bank of Palestine, stressing on the importance of the continuous efforts to overcome obstacles and difficulties encountered in implementing projects; he also indicated the necessity for continuous communication to find methods for collaboration and guarantee better services for the private sector; he confirmed that the communication between Bank of Palestine and businessmen will contribute in increasing achievements and implementing projects at higher speed, which will stimulate and increase growth.
Bank of Palestine’s Department Heads presented the financial services that the Bank provides to its customers, through a presentation about small and medium enterprises program, foreign exchange service, financial trade and electronic services, in addition to the various accounts and facilitations provided with outstanding performance and speed.
Mr. Jiries Atallah, President of Contractors Union, talked about the contractors sector, which is considered one of the most essential sectors that contribute in the Palestinian economic development. He stressed the importance of continuous collaboration and increasing meetings to discuss the difficulties they face, due to the keenness of everyone to facilitate banking transactions to all customers, particularly contractors. He indicated the importance of overcoming the obstacles and facilitate banking transactions for all contractors and to create a unit to monitor and facilitate all their transactions.
At the meeting’s conclusion, the Union’s members presented several proposals for the Bank’s consideration and agreed to hold more meetings with the Union and all its sectors.
