With sponsorship from Bank of Palestine.. The National Team completes its training tonight in preparation to meet Japan tomorrow morning within its participation in the AFC Asian Cup

Sydney – Ramallah – Our Palestinian National Team “Al-Fida’i” completed its intensive training within its participation in the AFC Asian Cup, which is held in Australia this month with sponsorship from Bank of Palestine; the team prepares the night before meeting the Japanese team within this championship, tomorrow, Monday, at nine in the  morning.

Bank of Palestine announced its official sponsorship for the national team in its participation in the AFC Asian Cup, during a grand ceremony hosted to honor the players, administrators and technicians of the national football team, in addition to the members of the team’s mission from trainers, administrators and players at the Bank’s General Management – Head Office in Ramallah, in the presence of the Bank’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Rushdi Ghalayini, the Secretary General of Palestinian Football Association, Mr. Abd Al-Majid Hajjeh and Ahmad Al-Hassan, the team’s Head Coach, in addition to a group of managers of sports clubs, Bank’s officials and the press & media; the ceremony was held the night before the national team travelled to Australia to participate in the AFC Asian Cup, which begins on January 9 and ends on January 31.

Mr. Hashim Shawa, Chairman and General Manager of Bank of Palestine, expressed his wishes for the “Al-Fida’i” team to win the championship and attain a great achievement for the Palestinian football, making it proud; as this is the first time Palestine is represented in a significant international championship; Shawa stressed on the importance of our people coming together to support the national team to win.

The Palestinian community in the Australian city, Sydney, celebrated the mission of our national team, who is holding a training camp for final training in preparation to its first match, in the presence of a large number of members of the community. Our national team is playing today against JDT Malaysian team, as a final test game before they leave Newcastle City to the location where the team will reside before its first encounter with the Japanese team.
