On Sunday 2/11/2014, Bank of Palestine drew the winner for the grand prize Jeep Wrangler 2014, within its “greater rewards with our cards” campaign, and the winner is Ayman Omar Al-Loh from Jabalya’s branch in Gaza strip. Bank of Palestine launched a marketing campaign in the beginning of last July to encourage customers to use the issued plastic cards for purchasing and shopping from supermarkets and shopping centers, clothing stores, restaurants, electrical appliances stores, gas stations, and others; these cards include Purchasing and Cash Withdrawal card (VISA electron), Cash Card, Easy Life card, Master Card and Visa Card.
In addition to the grand prize that the Bank provided throughout this campaign, which is a Jeep Wrangler 2014, the bank also provided daily prizes, which are LG 47-inch TVs, won by more than 80 of the Bank’s customers who participated in the campaign by using Bank of Palestine’s cards in purchasing, shopping, paying bills and charging phone balance. Any customer who purchased with an amount of 10NIS (or equivalent in other currencies) entered the draw; the chances to win increased as the purchases increased, noting that these services do not entail any interest fees. The sellers who accept cards at their stores where entered as well.
Mr. Hashim Shawa, Chairman and General Manager of Bank of Palestine, congratulated the winners and expressed his contentment for the trust that the customers have in Bank of Palestine and its campaigns, noting that this campaign is dedicated to support the Bank’s efforts to enhance the culture of using plastic cards in the shopping process. He explained that Bank of Palestine is the first bank that introduced the online shopping system and accepted credit cards, as the bank owned the only center to issue and accept credit and debit cards in Palestine, noting that it is the first and only source for these cards in all their types, through an accredited center working in Palestine since 1999.
Shawa added that the purpose of this campaign is to spread the culture of using plastic cards among citizens, which is considered a major development related to benefiting from the banking services provided by Bank of Palestine, as these cards are safe, smart and reduce the risks of carrying around cash at all times. He indicates that the first installment card “Easy Life”’ was issued by Bank of Palestine years ago to enable its customers to buy their needed purchases from commercial stores through installments and with no interest or commission.
