As part of its social responsibility and continuing in its approach to support the development sectors in Palestine, Bank of Palestine provided its golden sponsorship to the activities of the fifth medical conference for the medical syndicate 2014, which was held in Alqasr Conference Halls in Bethlehem; the conference made great achievements towards the development of the health system in Palestine.
The conference was held for the course of three days with the participation of about 1,300 Arab and foreign doctors from other Arab countries and other friendly countries such as South Africa, Argentina, France, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia and the United Kingdom; their participation aimed to show their support to the Palestinian cause, especially that the conference's activities took place at the same time as the international solidarity day with the Palestinian people. Participants in the conference also included medical school students from An-Najah National University and Al-Quds Abu Dees University, a group of resident doctors, in addition to a number of Palestinian ambassadors in foreign countries and representatives of foreign consulates.
Dr. Shawqi Sabha, Head of Medical Syndicate, praised the support of the Bank and other sponsoring companies to the conference and their contribution in developing the health sector and achieving the conference's goals, noting that the medical conference achieved its goals through the exchange of information and practical experience between local doctors and other participating Arab and foreign doctors, who showed great interest in supporting and improving the medical and health sectors in Palestine; he presented a plaque to the Bank in appreciation of its support in sponsoring the conference.
