BOP Delegation Visits Commercial and Industrial Centers in Hebron and Meets with Palestinian Businessmen Forum

With the view of strengthening communication with local organizations and companies, and seeking to provide advanced banking services to the largest economic governorate in Palestine, a BOP delegation represented by Chairman of the Board and General Manager Mr Hashim Al-Shawa, Assistant General Manager Mr Hani Nasser, Area Manager of Southern West Bank Mr Mawia Qausmi, Marketing and Public Relations Division Director Mr Thaer Hamayel, and General Supervisor Ibrahim Al-Joulani visited commercial and industrial centers and companies in Hebron Governorate where they met with the Head of the Palestinian Businessmen Forum Mr Mohammad Nafez Hirbawi, members of the  Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors  and other businessmen.  

During his visit to the Forum, Mr Hirbawi extolled BOP efforts in rehabilitating the Forum and the bank’s significant role in launching corporate social responsibility programs in the areas of health, education, culture, humanitarian endeavors and others. Mr Hirbawi also valued BOP efforts toward creating a banking environment for the business sector and adopting an outreach policy in the districts through opening new branches and offices.

In addition, the delegation made a brief visit to the office of Hebron University President Prof. Ahmad Atawneh. Both parties agreed to open a BOP branch on campus.

Mr Al-Shawa spoke about BOP’s course of action since its inception in 1960 and the growth it has achieved during the past few years despite the critical political and economic conditions Palestine is facing. Al-Shawa stated BOP’s strategy focuses on reaching out to people, increasing domestic investment, implementing economical enterprises and further developing financial programs and services.
