Bank of Palestine announced Sunday, 16 March 2014 the launching of the biggest prize campaign on the savings accounts in Palestine titled “The Family Brings Us Together.” For the first time the campaign comprises a daily prize for the amount of USD 5000 for each family member having a savings account at Bank of Palestine.
For his part, Bank of Palestine Chairman of the Board and General Manager Mr Hashim Al-Shawa pointed out that the campaign reflects the interest and concern of the bank in enhancing the savings culture in the Palestinian society and improving the financial conditions of the Palestinians. Al-Shawa added the prize campaign on the savings accounts for this year was based on a study of the needs of the market and clients, and aims to fulfill their desires and meet their financial aspirations of clients. Moreover, Al-Shawa stressed Bank of Palestine aspires to open the largest possible number of new accounts for Palestinian families and increase the number of its clients by way of providing savers with the opportunity to increase the chances for winning.
Head of the Marketing and Public Relations Division at Bank of Palestine Thaer Hamayel said the new campaign will enable savers at the bank to win a daily prize of USD 5000 once a family member wins the prize. He added, “Once the father, mother, son or daughter wins the prize, all the family members will also receive USD 5000 each. The bank encourages Palestinian families to open an account and benefit from the features of the campaign.”
According to Hamayel, all existing and new savings accounts amounting to USD 200 or its equivalent in other currencies will be included in the drawing on the daily prize which multiplies according to the number of family members. The chances of savers to win will go higher whenever the amount of their accounts goes up. Hamayel stated Bank of Palestine will continue to provide the best and most developed programs that fulfill the aspirations of its clients who wish to save their money. In order to join the campaign, Hamayel explained, family members have to have a savings account for no less than USD 200 or its equivalent in other currencies, and to open an account at least one day before daily drawing takes place. Moreover, savers can have a guaranteed loan for the amount of the savings amount. Hamayel said all members of the same family of all ages can open a savings account for any amount they wish.
On this day, 16 March 2014, the first public drawing on the daily prize took place in Bank of Palestine in Ramallah in the presence of senior officials from the bank, clients and the media. Rida Abu Awwad from Hebron, her two sons and two daughters won USD 5000 each thus the total amount of the prize amounted to USD 25,000.
