Bank of Palestine Named Best Trade Finance Bank in Palestine

This year Bank of Palestine was named the Best Trade Finance Bank in Palestine as reported by Global Finance magazine standard classification for 2013. Assistant General Manager Chief Treasurer Mr Ihsan Shaushaa received the award during a grand ceremony held in Dubai Towers, Dubai, UAE, and attended by a large assembly of leaders of the banking sector from the Arab countries and the world. 

The standards adopted by Global Finance for the selection of winning banks and financial institutions include the financial statements achieved by the financial institutions around the world especially in terms of growth of assets, profit, strategic relations, customer services, competitive prices, and innovative products. The standards also encompass the opinions of share analysts, credit rating, banking consultants and other experts in the banking and financial sector.

For his part, Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Bank of Palestine Mr Hashim Al-Shawa stated that the fact that the bank has received the Global Finance award and was named the Best Trade Finance Bank in Palestine, confirms the bank’s assiduous and diligent efforts to provide services in line with the best international practices. He asserted Bank of Palestine is committed to maximum quality products and services pointing out at the same time that the award is a culmination of the achievements accumulated throughout the past years. According to Mr Al-Shawa, Bank of Palestine has demonstrated great capability and perseverance to distinguish itself and provide services in the best manner possible despite the difficult political and economic conditions prevailing in Palestine. Finally, Mr Al-Shawa expressed pride and delight that international organizations continue to grant the bank advanced global ratings.

Bank of Palestine, Mr Al-Shawa concluded, has received the award after passing examinations, auditing and inspection operations undertaken by Global Finance. The bank has indeed merited the award in spite of the any challenges confronting Palestine and the Middle East region in general.
