Bank of Palestine concludes its participation in SIBOS 2013 conference which was held in Dubai World Trade Centre during 16th -19th of Sept, 2013.The conference was attended by more than 7,000 participants from senior leaders of financial institutions and other interested parties from around the world in Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT). This conference is considered to be a leading annual event in the global financial sector.
The Bank’s participation in the conference aims at taking advantage of international experiences from financial and banking institutions, connecting and networking with a group of elite banks in the region, strengthening the relations with correspondent banks which deal with the bank, opening new and effective prospects at all levels, and following up with the latest development on products’ industry and banking services around the world.
The conference was attended by a delegation of the bank's representatives including Ihsan Sha’sha’a, Assistant General Manager – Chief Treasurer, Ameer Sha’th- Head of Financial Institutions Department, Sulieman Nasr- Head of Placement Department, Hala Hussien- from the Financial Institutions Department, Bassam Abu Shaaban- Head of Information Technology Department, besides a group of elite financial experts and prestigious financial institutions, and many other experts, decision-makers, and opinion leaders from leading financial institutions, financial markets, regulatory bodies, international companies, and technology partners.
This conference is the (Thirty-Fifth), and it is considered to be one of the most important, effective, and largest conferences which are annually organized in the financial field; where financial, economic, and banking experts meet to discuss the challenges of the financial sector collaboratively and collectively to shape the future of this sector.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that SIBOS is organized by (SWIFT) which aims at holding business deals, and making future plans for the financial sector, and Boston will be hosting the next SIBOS Conference in 2014.
