Bank of Palestine congratulated all students who passed the government general secondary high school examination, the Tawjihi. On this occasion, the bank granted outstanding students USD 50 in the form of Cash Cards. The grant was granted to all students who have a saving account in the Bank of Palestine and who have achieved an average of 80% and above. The grant is a contribution from the bank to encourage Palestinian students to continue their academic success and excellence.
For his part, Head of Marketing and Public Relations Department at Bank of Palestine Mr Thaer Hamayel said the purpose of this campaign “is to show appreciation of outstanding students who are also savers at Bank of Palestine. It also aims to maintain communication with students and meet their needs during their undergraduate studies in the university.” Mr Hamayel added this initiative is in line with the bank of Palestine vision encompassing support of the education and youth sector, especially outstanding students. Its aim is to develop students’ capabilities, enhance their innovative skills and motivate their creative thinking.
As part of its corporate social responsibility, every year Bank of Palestine allocates 5% of its net profit to support human development activities in the Palestinian society such as, inter alia, education, culture, health, art, youth and childhood.
