Sponsored by Bank of Palestine, Al-Azhar University in Gaza celebrated the inauguration of the late Dr Hani Al-Shawa Conference Hall. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr Abdel Rahman Hamad, Board of Trustees Members, Academic Affairs Vice President Professor Sami Musleh, University Council Members, Bank of Palestine Board Member and Al-Azhar University representative Engineer Faisal Al-Shawa, and Al-Azhar University and Bank of Palestine faculty and staff.
For his part, Professor Musleh extended gratitude and appreciation to Bank of Palestine, the first national bank to support Al-Azhar University, for its generous assistance to renovate the late Dr Hani Al-Shawa Conference Hall. He also thanked Bank of Palestine for offering special privileges to the university’s staff and students and extolled the efforts of the team that supervised the renovation of the hall, and the committee that prepared the inauguration ceremony.
In his speech on behalf of Bank of Palestine Engineer Al-Shawa expressed deep pleasure for the participation of Al-Azhar University in the inauguration ceremony of the late Dr Hani Al-Shawa Conference Hall. Dr Al-Shawa was a member on the university’s Board of Trustees and he was well-known for his integrity and love for the university. Engineer Al-Shawa added the Bank of Palestine sponsorship of the renovation of the conference hall is part of the bank’s support to the development of the educational sector that meet the students’ needs throughout their educational stages. At the end of his speech, Engineer Al-Shawa thanked the administration of Al-Azhar University, its staff, the implementing agency (Adwa' Al-Mustaqbal Co. for Trade & General Contracting) and the engineering office for the efforts and cooperation.
It is worth noting that the new Dr Hani Al-Shawa Conference Hall has all the technical specifications and a capacity for 250 people. It also has a high-tech audio-visual system.
