Bank Of Palestine (BOP) launched a series of events and activities celebrating Children's Banking Awareness Week, organized by the Palestine Monetary Authority in cooperation with the Bank's Union, Ministry of Education, and other banks. The Awareness Week, from March 17-21, aims at increasing banking and financial awareness for young children and teens in Palestine. The Palestine Monetary Authority launched the Awareness Week's activities on Saturday, March 17, in a ceremony attended by PMA Governor Dr. Jehad Alwazir. During the ceremony, BOP awarded the student who designed the Awareness Week's logo with several gifts.
During the Awareness Week, BOP branches and offices around the country, which were decorated and prepared for receiving children with their families for tours and activities around the bank, and to open Children's Savings Account (launched last year by BOP) for those who wish with the consent of their parents, will dedicate one hour every day for the week's events. Parents and guardians who visited BOP's branches and offices during the Awareness Week so far thanked the bank for its efforts in educating their children about the bank and informing them about the importance of being financially-aware at a young age through organizing fun activities. The activities included clown shows, face painting, in addition to distributing BOP gifts and flyers about the bank and the services it offers.
