Palestine Securities Exchange continues its preparations for the Annual Forum of Palestine Capital Market which will be held at the Conference Palace in Bethlehem on November 2, 2009 under the patronage of the Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, in addition to the elite of economy decision-makers, economic and financial investors, and businessmen from inside and outside Palestine.
The forum will be held under the title of the Emerging Markets Priorities and Options After the Crisis. It will address important themes and issues relating to capital markets in the region, the effects of the global financial crisis, and the options available to overcome the crisis.
Mr. Hashim Shawa, Chairman and General Manager of Bank of Palestine, said that the Annual Forum of the Capital Market this year is an important occasion to highlight what was produced by the global financial crisis on the financial markets and banks around the world and the resulting repercussions on Palestine. He added that we must pay more efforts to study our options as banks, capital markets and companies to determine our priorities and to draw up plans that will enable us to face the repercussions of the current crisis and any future crises.
Mr. Shawa added that the sponsorship of Bank of Palestine for this annual forum assures its commitment towards the national economy pointing to the achievements that BoP has accomplished during the past few years.
