Bank of Palestine in cooperation with the French Cultural Center opened “The Art of Palestine” exhibition in the General Management Head Office in Ramallah which continued for a week. In participation of 20 painters with 20 paintings prepared by Gazan painters who drew them after the War on Gaza were presented in this exhibition. The artists through their painting have drafted a new life map, which is fulfilled with hope, challenge, and durability.
Mr. Hashim Shawa, Chairman and General Manager of BoP, stated that this is the first time to conduct this type of exhibition in the banks’ halls. He confirmed that this step was done because of Bank of Palestine national responsibility and support to the Palestinian artist as most of the paintings were drown by Gazan painters after the War on Gaza. In addition, this exhibition is an important opportunity to present Gazan artists’ skills in the West Bank. In addition, Mr. Shawa stated that this exhibition which was conducted previously in Gaza will also be conducted in Both Nablus and Jenin in order to convey Gazan artists message to the whole Palestinian nation.
