Last month Bank of Palestine concluded a set of training programs on money laundering, treasury risk, banking rehabilitation for its employees and banking culture for lawyers. The program also included a training session on international financial and administrative standards for the prediction of bad debts, internal auditing for intermediary companies as well as education and awareness workshop on green loans. Furthermore, bank of Palestine participated in a workshop on ‘Bank of Palestine Experience and Role in Cooperative Education’. The training programs are part of Bank of Palestine efforts to develop the skills and capabilities of its staff and polish up their technical and administrative skills. More than 400 male and female employees took part in the trainings which were provided by experts from renowned Arab institutions.
Bank of Palestine completed a training program on banking risks and ways to prevent money laundering. About 240 male and female employees from Gaza have already completed the first phase of the program. But the program is still ongoing in the West Bank targeting 500 male and female employees from the different departments of bank of Palestine.
Moreover, Risk Director, his Deputy and Director of the Treasury Risk Department at Bank of Palestine have successfully completed a training program on treasury risk in New York, USA, on 23rd-26th of last September. The program was organized by ILF.
Within its framework of promoting the principle of corporate social responsibility in the areas of education and culture, Bank of Palestine has completed a training program on cooperative learning (banking rehabilitation) to train junior and senior students at the Faculty of Commerce in local universities. Twenty-five male and female students from Al-Azhar University, the Islamic University and the University of Palestine attended the 75-hour program in preparation for their graduation. Certificates were distributed to participants in the presence of the Deputy General Manager.
Finally, Bank of Palestine Training Center has organized a number of lectures the banking culture for lawyer trainees at the Bar Association in Gaza.
