Bank of Palestine (BoP) sponsored a workshop that was held on Monday, January 14th, 2013, by Alazhar University-Gaza at the BoP Training Center. The workshop, which was attended by a number of BoP and Alazhar University's officials, featured the experience of several universities and private sector institutions in quality assurance.

Alaa Al-Redwan, COO and Deputy General Manager of BoP, stated in his welcoming speech that BoP created the Quality Assurance and Customer Service Department (QACS) in 2010, and has been greatly improving BoP's services and increasing customer satisfaction with the bank.

In addition to a number of local universities and private sector institutions, Raya Sbitany, head of QACS in Ramallah, presented BoP's experience in quality assurance through video conference. Sbitany explained that by working with other departments at BoP, the IFC and the World Bank, QACS formulated a working policy based on a continuous cycle of four main stages: monitoring and evaluation, research and development, applying new standards and measurements, and finally internal communications and culture. This will allow BoP to continue to provide the best service to its customers, while keeping up with top international standards.
