Bank of Palestine’s management held a meeting with Gaza’s Fishermen Cooperative Society after the easing of the naval siege on the Gaza Strip. Whereas fishermen were allowed to fish 3 nautical miles into Gaza’s waters before the truce, fishermen can now fish up to 6 nautical miles off shore. Bank of Palestine is currently preparing a special program for fishermen in Gaza to help the fishermen as well as help in reviving the historic industry which has always been one of Gaza’s most important.
