Bank of Palestine celebrates Children's Banking Awareness Week

On March 18th, 2012, Bank of Palestine launched the "Children Banking Awareness Week"; fun learning and entertainment events that aim at increasing children's banking awareness. The awareness week, which is organized by the Palestinian Monetary Authority in cooperation with the Association of Banks in Palestine and the Ministry of Education, attracted the participation of various banks and will extend from 18/3/2012 to 22/3/2012.

Throughout the week, Bank of Palestine will seek to increase the children's banking and financial knowledge, in an effort to raise an educated generation that is well capable of optimizing the use of financial and banking services offered by Bank of Palestine. BoP will dedicate one working hour every day to receive young visitors to show them around the bank and its different functions, to open saving accounts for those who wish (with the consent of their parents) and to share with them education leaflets and promotional gifts. A number of parents expressed their satisfaction with BoP's preparations and activities for the week, seeing that these activities have so far succeeded in educating the children about the bank.

Furthermore, BoP will send representatives from its different branches located around the country to give awareness lectures to Grade 8 students in different schools, in coordination with the Ministry of Education. During these visits, BoP representatives will distribute education leaflets, approved by the Palestinian Monetary Authority, titled "Banking knowledge leads you to a bright future," in addition to answering student's questions and inquires about the discussed topics.

Please note that BoP opened on Saturday, from 10:00-13:00 to receive the children, and will open for an extra hour this week every day from 8:30-3:30, to receive the children and ensure the success of the awareness week.
