In partnership with the local Youth Council of the Municipality of Jenin, Bank of Palestine (BoP) sponsored the "International Day for People with Disability" entitled: "Disability does not stop Energy" on 18/12/2011, in Jenin. The event, which was cosponsored by World Vision, included poetry reading, theatrical performances, as well as other recreational activities. At the end of the event, Bank of Palestine offered the participants and their families several prizes.
This event is one of several events that the Bank of Palestine sponsored for people with special needs this year. Furthermore, Bank of Palestine won first place as the largest contributor to Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) projects among Palestinian banks in 2011, for its contribution of $1.5 million in 2010, which is equivalent to 5% of its net profit.
