Friday 26th February 2010, Bank of Palestine exclusively sponsored and funded the ceremony of honoring the retired and pilgrims of the Staff members of the UNRWA from General Services, , and their sons who have learnt the holly Qura’an by heart.
The ceremony was held at Al Helou Hall in Gaza with the presence of Mr. John Ging, Director of UNRWA Operations, Mr. Wael Sorani, BoP’s G. M. Asst. for The Gaza Strip Branches, Mr. Crystal Nordahl, Deputy Director of UNRWA Operations, Mr. Amir Al Mishal, Head of Services Sector besides to a number of the Bank’s seniors and officials and more than a thousand of the UNRWA’s employees and their families in Gaza.
During his speech, Mr. John Geng, Director of UNRWA Operations expressed his appreciation for the giving and the effort of the UNRWA’s staff members . He also thanked Bank of Palestine for sponsoring the annual celebrations of the Staff Union and its cooperation with the Agency's Management and the strong relationship linking the Bank of Palestine management and the staff of the Agency.
Mr. Amir Mishal, Head of the Service Sector thanked the Bank for sponsoring the ceremonies held by the Staff Union for the forth time in row.
The ceremony included presenting many valuable prizes provided by Bank of Palestine for pilgrims and retired staff members of the Services Sector as well as the winners of Ramadan Cultural Competition.
