Bank of Palestine launched a new campaign to encourage payments through its Point of Sale machines under the title: "No matter what your bank is, both you and the merchant are winners." The promotion targets Bank of Palestine customers along with customers of local and international banks who use their plastic (bank) cards in addition to merchants using Bank of Palestine's Point of Sale machines. The new campaign enables the possibility of winning 10 daily prizes, whose values are equivalent to the purchase in various Palestinian cities and governorates.
In this respect, Mahmoud Al-Shawa, General Manager of Bank of Palestine said that this campaign comes within the bank's strategy and efforts for the development and spread of electronic payment culture within Palestinian society for customers of Bank of Palestine and other banks alike. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative whereby the bank is going to give prizes for its own customers and other customers of local and international banks who make purchases using Bank of Palestine POS machines as part of its role in the wheel of financial inclusion. He further went ahead to assure that the bank is continuing to work on achieving its customers' needs and ambitions through campaigns and programs that enable it to continue being the pioneering bank in its economic and developmental role.
This three-month campaign, running until June 30th, 2023, establishes the minimum purchase amount for entitlement to a daily prize at 50 shekels and the maximum at 2000 shekels, or the value in other currencies. The more transactions processed through the machines, the greater the chance for both the customer and the merchant to win. Also, the merchant will be given a value as well against his purchase, with a maximum of 2000 shekels when the purchase is made at any store with Bank of Palestine POS machines.
