In Partnership with the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University, Bank of Palestine Supports Educational Visits to Schools Through the Mobile Educational Museum

Bank of Palestine contributed to the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability at Bethlehem University to realize educational visits at schools through the "Mobile Educational Museum" to reach several Palestinian governorates.  This is considered part of a project entitled "Unity and Diversity in Nature and Society".

These visits, organized by the institute in coordination with the Ministry of Education, aimed at introducing issues of biodiversity and human diversity in Palestine to students in Hebron, Jericho, and Tubas. The visit also highlighted the protection of biodiversity and activated responsible environmental involvement on the part of students through interactive exhibits and educational materials prepared in the mobile museum.

Mamdouh Shawwa, Bank of Palestine General Manager, told Banknotes, "We are happy to participate in this educational and cultural activity," pointing out the importance of making knowledge available and encouraging students to become interested in environmental issues. He underlined that "the mobile museum will visit various segments of society.".

Shawwa added that this support falls under the Bank's strategy for sustainability and its continuous commitment to social responsibility as an active member of the Palestinian community. He lauded the vital role of the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability in raising awareness about biodiversity.

Professor Mazen Qumsieh, Founder and General Director of the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability, lauded the role that Bank of Palestine has played concerning environmental protection projects in Palestine and shared the commitment toward sustainability for both man and nature.

It’s worth mentioning that Bank of Palestine allocates approximately 5% of its annual profits to support community initiatives, in line with its vision to actively contribute to sustainable community development. A portion of this support is dedicated to education and cultural awareness to empower and uplift this sector.
