Bank of Palestine Hosts Girls from the Spanish Schools in Ramallah and Introduces them to the Banking Sector

BOP hosted in its General management HQ a female student delegation from the Spanish Secondary School for Girls in Ramallah. BOP staff introduced the delegation to the banking sector and services that every citizen can benefit from in their daily life. The delegation had educational tour in all of BOP sections and the main branch in Ramallah and watched a documentary on the corporate social responsibility and sustainable strategy of the bank. The delegation was encouraged to think creatively, innovate and plan in order to establish their businesses after graduation.

The visit of the student delegation to BOP included a meeting with one of the bank’s clients Mrs Sabrin Musha’sha who started a successful project called Kitchen Club Academy. Mrs Musha’sha shared her experience with the delegation.

BOP believes in the active role the youth and women can have in society. One of the banks strategies is women empowerment and providing them with financial services that meet their needs. Moreover, BOP provides women with non-financial consultation services.

To consolidate the principle of banking awareness, BOP opened for each student in the delegation a savings account with a small amount as a gift. The hosting activity is one of many activities BOP non-financial consultation services section offers and through which BOP aims to provide complementary services to clients by way of disseminating banking and non-banking awareness.

The visit of the delegation from the eighth grade at the Secondary Spanish School for Girls is part of a program carried out by Injaz Palestine. The delegation was given a training titled “I Own an Enterprise” by BOP staff. The students had the opportunity to carry out on the ground 9 projects in order to orientate them to project management and development.

BOP highlights its interest in the youth and in raising their awareness on the diverse aspects of economic life. A group consisting of BOP staff coordinates with Injaz Palestine annual awareness raising projects for male and female students from Palestinian schools. The ultimate goal is to create a generation capable of leadership and economic development.
