Global Investor/ISF Middle East Names Al-Wasata Securities Best Financial Broker in Palestine for 2013

In its annual 2013 session Global Investor/ISF Middle East awarded Bank of Palestine Al-Wasata Securities the Best Financial Broker Prize. The prize was received last month in a special ceremony in Doha, Qatar, by Market and Investor Relations Department Director at Al-Wasata Securities Mr Tariq Al-Aloul. A number of key figures from the financial sector, investors and financial intermediaries from around the world participated in the reception ceremony.

For his part, Chairman of Al-Wasata Securities Mr Hashim Al-Shawa expressed pride in this renewed achievement. He said Al-Wasata Securities was established in Palestine in 2006 and achieved rapid growth. During the past years the company was awarded first place as a leading financial institution running about half-a-million USD of the total value of shares listed in Palestine Exchange (PEX). The company acts as a mediator or broker in the local and regional markets. Al-Shawa added Al-Wasata has employed all its capabilities including technology to serve investors. Al-Wasata, Al-Shawa went on, has throughout its operations maintained a high level of accuracy and transparency. Its contribution to financial awareness campaign has been a key factor that led Al-Wasata to win this award. The award has indeed added impetus to the company’s record as one of the most prominent financial mediators in and consolidated its status on the map of financial services in the region.

Al-Wasata General Manager Mr Sadeq Ferwana expressed delight for receiving the Global Investor award pointing out that this is the second award for the second year in a row from two different institutions. Last year Al-Wasata Securities was awarded the Best Financial Broker Prize by EMEA Finance for its distinguished achievements during the past years. The company has achieved special trading rates, demonstrated expertise and efficiency in dealing with investors and companies listed in PEX.
