BoP as golden sponsor for IUG's first International Linguistics Conference, attended by Prof. Noam Chomsky

 Bank of Palestine sponsored the first International Conference on Applied Linguistics, held at the Islamic University in Gaza and attended by renowned linguist Professor Noam Chomsky. The conference, which was organized by IUG’s English Department, provided a meeting place for researches and practioners in the areas of applied linguistics and literature to present and share their research findings in a stimulating and interactive environment.

Moreover, IUG granted Prof Chomsky an Honorary Doctorate, out of appreciation for his contributions to the field of linguistics and continuous support for the Palestinian Cause, as stated in an official resolution read by Dr. Kamalain Shaath, president of IUG.
